KU Area Studies Centers (CEAS, CLACS, CREEES, GIST, and KASC) Welcome

Representatives of all five international and area studies centers will be at tables under a tent with information about the Centers, their academic programs, and planned activities for the Fall. Student organizations with international interests will be invited to be present as well. Musicians from the regions covered by the Centers will perform short sets during the event. There will be a table with snacks and cold drinks, including items typical of the regions.

The Center for East Asian Studies (CEAS) at The University of Kansas now offers an M.A. program in Contemporary East Asian Studies. Full-time students with prior East Asian language training will be able to complete the degree within 12 months.
