Learning Chinese Numbers

Want to learn the numbers from 1 to 10 in Chinese? Here are a few links that will help you learn and then practice.

First, watch this video, which slowly goes through the numbers, including the associated characters and their tones.

Now try this song to help you remember the names of the numbers. Be warned: It's catchy!

For more practice, this site will take you through the words and characters, but there's no audio, so you can practice saying the words on your own.

If you want to learn more (including how to count higher!) check out this site, which explains the Chinese counting system, and includes a handy tool that converts Arabic numerals into Chinese characters.
