Student Groups with East Asia Focus
Asian American Student Union (AASU)
Purpose: AASU strives to promote Asian American awareness and education, we also aspire to create a social network for anyone interested in Asian American and Asian cultural, last we collaborate with other Asian and minority groups to create a more diverse campus.
Asian Classical Music Initiative (ACMI)
Purpose: To bring awareness to the world of AAAPI classical music composers through concerts and conferences.
Asian Law Students Association (ALSA)
Purpose: To celebrate and advocate the interests of diverse law students and the legal profession.
Chinese Student Scholars & Friendship Association (CSSFA)
Purpose: In the past several years, CSSFA has organized many large events, including the mid-Autumn festival, the Chinese New Year, Culture Night, etc. Besides these large events, the main focus of CSSFA has always been to serve the KU Chinese community.
Graduate Scholars of East Asian Studies (GSEAS)
Purpose: To support the needs of KU graduate-level students and scholars of diverse disciplines who engage in East Asian Studies.
Hong Kong & Macau Student Association (HKMSA)
Purpose: Through regular activities, tightening the bond between the students from Hong Kong and Macau. Sharing of the specific cultures from Hong Kong and Macau with fellow Americans.
Korean Student Association (KSA)
Purpose: Help Korean international, transfer, exchange and domestic students get connected in the University of Kansas. Spread awareness about the Koreas and Korean culture.
KU K-Pop Dance Club
Purpose: Encourage students to join and have fun while learning various K-Pop dances.
KU Lion Dance Team
Purpose: Performers dance and trick under a lion costume to the playing of instruments such as the drum, gong, and cymbals.
Official KU Anime Club
Purpose: To educate students on cultures and lifestyles through Japanese Animation. To provide an active and informative method of discussion and viewing Anime.
TaeKwonDo Sport Club
Purpose: To provide all students and faculty the opportunity to study Tae Kwon Do.
Tai Chi Club, KU
Purpose: To offer instruction in Wu Style Tai Chi, Chi Gong, Chin Na and push hands. Join us in developing a mental/physical outlet for reducing stress and skills for self-defense.
Taiwanese Student Association (KUTSA)
Purpose: To introduce Taiwanese culture to the community and assist Taiwanese students become involved in Lawrence.
Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE)
Purpose: To develop KU's Asian heritage scientists and engineers in education and employment so that they can fulfill their full career potential and be leaders in their respective fields.
Vietnamese Student Association
Purpose: To promote awareness of Vietnamese culture and to actively engage with the KU and Vietnamese community

Purpose: Proactively seek change in our communities through ten rays of SYZterhood: Integrity, Legacy, Scholarship, Philanthropy, Professionalism, Community, SYZterhood, Culture, Citizenship and Activism. Our main philanthropy is to combat violence against womxn in all its forms.

Purpose: ISA gives the platform to students to share their diverse life styles with other students at KU. The main purpose of ISA is to promote international activity on campus and provide the resources to international students to represent their countries to KU.
