Alissa Toda

Alissa is a junior majoring in Global and International Studies with a minor in Korean. She was born and raised in Brazil and lived in China for a year before coming the the United States as an exchange student her senior year of high school. After high school, she continued her education in the US and transferred to KU from Coffeyville Community College in the fall of 2021. Alissa's interest in East Asia stems from her Japanese heritage, her experience living and traveling in East Asia, and her love of learning about different cultures. Alissa keeps very busy. In addition to her job at CEAS and her studies, she is the treasurer for the Brazilian Student Association (BRASA) and a member of the Asian American Student Union (AASU), Latin American Student Union (LASU), K-Pop Dance Club, and Vietnamese Studies Association (VSA).
