Biography —
Yoshie Hisatomi is the Center's 2022-2024 Japan Outreach Initiative (JOI) Coordinator, a position sponsored by the Japan Foundation and Laurasian Institution.
Yoshie first came to the United States when she was 13 years old through the LABO and 4-H International Exchange Program. The experience opened new doors to the world for her. Since then, she has been passionate about building stronger bonds between the United States and Japan. She is eager to provide international cultural experiences to K-12 and KU students as well as the larger Kansas community through a wide variety of Japanese language, traditional and popular culture activities.
